In 2016, the Malaysian Zhejiang Overseas Chinese Association hosted a Malaysian pavilion at an international trade fair in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China, to promote Malaysian real estate, tourism, and local specialties. During the fair, the Malaysian Embassy's counselor in Shanghai visited to offer congratulations and provide guidance and exchange ideas.
