2015年7月 浙江省外事侨务办公室（外侨办）官员来马来西亚考察，与中国驻马来西亚大使馆官员接见总会会员，并任命马来西亚浙江华侨华人总会为浙江省外侨办驻马来西亚联络处。

In July 2015, officials from the Zhejiang Provincial Office of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs (OFAO) visited Malaysia and met with members of the Association together with officials from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia. They also appointed the Zhejiang Overseas Chinese Association of Malaysia as the liaison office of the OFAO in Malaysia.
