On December 1, 2024, the General Association’s representative, Secretary-General Chen Ye, 

received Sha Hailin, former member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, 

Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, Vice Chairman 

of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy 

in the United States, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of 

China to Ireland, and current President of the Shanghai Public Relations Association, who visited Malaysia.
